For a diet to be effective in repairing (building) existing muscle fibres,
and adding new muscle fibres, the muscle has to be in a protein rich

created by a carbohydrate rich environment. The 4th Dimension nutrition

The most effective way for the body to assimilate proteins and carbohydrates
is to eat little and often. Medical experts agree, and physical performance
test show, that an optimum protein intake of 1 gram per pound of "lean"
body weight or approximately 80 - 100 grams of protein per day is recommended
